i can do it too!

Believe it or not, Avery has told us the last two days when she's needed to do #2, then actually went to the bathroom (with our assistance) and did "her business" on the potty. She watches everything Alex does, and wants to be just like her. Thankfully, that's a good thing!

back to the blog

We know we're not real good at keeping in touch with friends and loved ones who aren't near by (and even some who are) so we've re-committed ourselves to maintaining this family blog. We'll call it a mid-year resolution.

So to get everyone up to date, here's what we've been up to:

Avery turned ONE in March. She's a total firecracker; full of spunk. In fact, we often refer to her as Crazy Avery! She's so loud, emotional, and BLOND, that we regularly tease that she must have been switched at birth with our real child. She certainly brings so much life to our home however, and makes us laugh every day. Currently, her language is exploding....repeating everything anyone and everyone says. And she loves hanging out and playing with her big sister.

Alex continues to amaze us with her wit and charm. Her imagination is in full bloom....often having long, deep, emotional conversations with her dollies. She loves riding her tricycle, reading books, and having sleepovers with her grandparents. Mom and Dad are especially proud of the fact that she is nearly 100% potty trained.

We are really thankful Brian's business has been thriving in spite of the slumping economy. His work has him traveling to Vegas quite regularly, and even flying on private jets to job locations (our very own Donald Trump). His hard work and dedication has allowed me (Michelle) to remain at home with the girls. Although at times exhausting, it's definitely the best job in the world.

In addition to the daily grind, we've been able to have a little fun this summer. One of the highlights of the season was a mini vacation we took to Graeagle, CA. We loved sharing Brian's first banana split, swimming at the pool, exploring the creek, and most importantly, just spending time as a family.

So now that we're "back to the blog" we'll be sure to keep you updated regularly on what we're up to. And we certainly can't wait to hear about what's happening in your neck of the woods too.
