proud to be an AMERICAN

Hope everyone had a fabulous Memorial Day weekend.

I think of our troops often and pray for their safe return. Their courage and bravery is astounding to me. And for those who have fallen in the line of duty I can't express enough gratitude. I truly believe it is largely because of these brave men and women that we live in the GREATEST COUNTRY on EARTH!

As for our content little family, we shared a quiet and relaxing weekend together. No exciting vacations, big camping excursions, or even fancy bar-b-q's. Just a weekend focused on being appreciative of the simple (yet all so important) things in our lives, like....

Enjoying the "kid-ness" in Ryan one last year before he becomes a teenager (Happy 12th Birthday Buddy)

Getting to spend some alone time as a couple (thanks Mom & Dad), and taking part in a really cool outdoor hobby

And just good old fashioned backyard fun with Daddy

So THANKFUL, so PROUD, so BLESSED to live in this great country!

how does your garden grow....

I am so thankful Brian loves to garden.

Although it's definitely not one of my favorite past times, I must admit I love the fruits (no pun intended) of his labor. Not only do we get to eat fabulous home-grown fruits and vegetables all summer long, but his garden just adds a special homey feeling to the quiet oasis known as our backyard.

But wait, it gets better. How wonderful is it that he loves sharing this hobby with the girls.

He even helped them plant their own special gardens this year (more on that later).

Can't say it enough....they are so lucky to have such an amazing Daddy!

Why you never tell kids to say "cheese" when you want to take their picture!
